October: Willow class enjoyed their first art day focusing on painting and drawing. First we explored a range of paitning tools then We learnt about the primary colours. We created a painting in the style of Mondrian who was famous for his use of the primary colours. On the second day we used chalk and pastels to draw some bubbles, using our smudging skills.
December: Willow class focused on sculpture during these art days. On the first day they explored exisitng sculptures, created paper sculptures by folding, tearing, curling, bending, looping and sticking strips of paper and then designed their final junk-model sculpture. On the second day the classroom was very very messy but very very busy with the childrem creating their animal sculptures from all the junk donated!
